Compassionate Use Drugs

In certain situations, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allows companies to provide their experimental drugs to patients outside of clinical trials. This is referred to as compassionate use. But getting access to not-yet-approved drugs through a compassionate use request can be a long and challenging process. At The IFICR we work with physicians to help them navigate this process through the FDA expanded access program and subsidize the costs of treatment not covered by insurance. This gives patients who have exhausted all standard of care treatments a chance to continue to fight for their lives.
